Anyone who bought a shirt or a blouse from our 2020 autumn/winter collection could help to protect endangered species at the same time. Because this is when ETERNA is set to launch WE CARE – a collection designed in collaboration with NABU, the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union.
Shirts and blouses in the WE CARE collection are highly sustainable thanks to an innovative yarn which combines Lyocell cellulose fibres with recyclable cotton fibres. In addition, all components of the shirts and blouses are manufactured using recycled or renewable materials. ETERNA does not use any plastic whatsoever. The fabrics feature birds – some as opulent prints, others with tiny, minimalistic prints, and sometimes simply as a patch on a unicolour shirt. In keeping with this #savethebirds theme, ETERNA donates a certain amount of money to NABU for each shirt that is sold. This donation is dedicated to protecting swallows. The NABU’s “Swallow-friendly houses” project aims to inform and enlighten the public by explaining simple measures which people can take to help preserve biodiversity.
